I rather love the
unexpected, what surprises me. Thinking a lot about an image and
putting an effort into creating it cannot surprise me. So
when I go out to photograph I tend to look for places and situations
that generate associations. The more associations I get from a scene or
a place the better I will like the results. I believe in instinctual
image making, and trying to turn my mind off when I photograph. When I
use my mind, I can never reach the unexpected, and the work can easily
be forced or boring.
