I got started with photography in 1978 when I was fifteen I picked up a Praktica camera, shot a roll of 35mm film and was hooked for life!

A few years later I made a small darkroom in part of the loft at home and loved watching the magic of black-and-white images emerge before my eyes. This experience will never leave me. I still have a good darkroom and intend to explore more old analogue processes.

Although I loved drawing and art I always favoured photography.  During two science degrees at Queens University I continued to take photographs during the Summer months.  Later at Art College I completed Design BA and Fine Art MA degrees:  I also shot medium and large formats and printed Cibachrome.  My business formally started in January 1992, though I have always developed personal work.
