Growing up around army bases, my father served in the military and also was an illustrator during his free time, so most of my creative background I owe to him. I tried drawing, painting, sculpting, and even played the alto saxophone growing up but none of these mediums were sufficient compared with taking a photograph. When I was 17, I had just moved to Texas and trying to adjust to the South. I found a $15 Canon FTb SLR camera still functioning at a local antique store and after playing around with it and developing my first roll, I knew I was hooked.
