My workflow usually doesn't change between personal and commercial work. Rarely do I have a bunch of ideas going into a shoot, and I think that's just because it's hard to plan without knowing what the location looks like. If I'm shooting for fun I usually have a very loose idea and then just go from there. One thing that I've found is that I like to work alone on both commercial and personal stuff. I get self conscious when I have somebody who is in the same field as me helping me out. I think I take better pictures when there aren't any other artists around.
