I became obsessed with photography and understanding the camera about 15 years ago when my three children were babies. I wasn’t interested in making beautiful pictures of them or to document our life…what I needed to do was make images about what I felt in that life.
Word quickly spread amongst the moms in my community and they began to ask me to photograph their children. Photography became a portrait business for me, which was never my intention. I ran the business for many years and the good news was, it was successful and profitable and I learned a lot doing that work.
