This is a self portrait of
myself and my love, Ryan Jay. It's one of my more personal self
portraits that intends to give the viewer a deeper look into my life.
My first experiences with taking pictures were during the myspace days, my friends and I were always interested in having awesome profile pictures so we would get all dressed up and have photo shoots. I wouldn't really consider that photography though, just messing around. But after my friends got sick of it I kept with it and started on a path toward creating things with intention.
I was completely self taught for the first four years, just learning through practice and experimentation. I just recently started taking photography classes and learning formal ways to do things, although I don't really like to stick to the rules that my fellow classmates know so well. I sort of established my own rules a long time ago.
