My dad got me a camera when I was around 7, and ever since then it has been something that held on to me. (unlike all the other things I have tried). I never considered myself a creative person or an artist, I just enjoyed taking photos.

Around my teenage years, and especially after I studied media and communication, photography became something I invested more time in. I bought my first digital slr, and started doing minor jobs for people. I was assistant to a photographer when I was studying media, and I learned a lot about the business, and what kind of photographer I would like to be.

I moved on to a strictly photography school, a 2 year study with classes of all the genres. I learned a lot more about photography technique and film photography. I decided to do more photo assisting in a bigger town, and I chose Stockholm. What an experience that was, I learned a lot about how photography works in the commercial and fashion world, and it was not something I wanted to be a part of. I wasn´t me! I thought I was a big town girl who were going to assist for many years, but I was wrong.

After a lot of consideration I moved back to the motherland, with the goal of taking a lot of photos that I wanted to do, put up exhibitions, release more photo books, avoiding getting sucked into something that doesn't make me happy.
