My early creative training was in music. My mom played cello and she made us take piano lessons. The family legend is that at age 6, I was the opening soloist for my music teacher's annual recital. After handily dusting off "The Waltz of the Little Brown Bear" in my white shirt and clip-on bow-tie, apparently I informed my parents that I was done with my piano career. At some later date I discovered the clarinet, the saxophone and jazz, and that was pretty much my life until I got through college.
