Because I'm still in my early career, I have to say my breaks so far have been from people I have known for years, and from putting the work in front of the right people. It's hard working on your own day in, day out trying to create something different/real until you put yourself (your work) out in the wide world. Then you can begin to see if what you're trying to achieve is working.
