I Started out exploring photography as a creative medium whilst studying for a Fine Art degree, my main reason for this was I found it expressed my creativity best and could also be very experimental with the different techniques and processes that exist within the medium. To further focus on my arts-based practice but also to learn more about photography itself I undertook an MA whilst also taking on my first people-based commissions.

When I started the MA in 2003 I was still training as an international athlete (200m runner) and much of my interest lay with the human body, identity, form, shapes and how this can be represented artistically. However moving away from the sport I found I had a deep interest and passion for fashion and beauty photography.
