Cheap Thrills

I remember my teachers in high school told me that I would fit in perfectly in Illustration. I took a look at what students and professionals were doing and was so fascinated by their ability to tell a story with a single image.

At CCS I leared a lot about the basics of Illustration such as figure drawing, composition, value, and painting to name a few. As a junior and senior I really explored my own personal ambitions as an Illustrator. I'm really happy to say that I'm starting to find my own voice.

I'm still in the early stages of my career but I've had my ups and downs. It's always great when you find that one perfect project to work on that you're excited about but it's not always like that. As an illustrator you also have to be a savvy businessperson. There are so many people out there who want to take advantage of you! I bet that I'm going to learn a lot in the next few years after I graduate.
