I take self-portraits for a number of reasons. To document my life, as awkward, as sad, as ridiculous, as painful as it might be. Also because I have no one as readily available, as in-sync with what I want to capture, as myself. And to help myself understand my own personal feelings, to sort out how I am affected by people and events in my life.
