I discovered photography during a course at university when I had first decided to study Cinema and Directing back in 1998. Lebanese photographer Gilbert Hage (www.gilberthage.com) was my professor and mentor, and it sparked a passion for the lens that has kind of stuck around since. I quit Cinema for Graphic Design, but I never put down my camera.

I was madly in love at the time and my boyfriend Z was my muse. I recorded every aspect of our relationship with my battered Canon A1, the fights, the passion, the sex, the disappointments... The documentation of our idyll is probably what I regard as my first proper photography project, although at the time, it just felt natural. I have over 2000 pictures of our 10-year long story. I someday plan to do something with all the pictures...

I put a hold on photography when we separated in 2004 and focused on design, right up until last year, that is.
