I got my
Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Photography from
Missouri State. It's a fine art program, which I absolutely loved. They
didn't teach anything about business there, so I've had to learn the
business on my own. I think it's absolutely critical to understand the
aesthetics, history and 'rules' of photography. It also helps immensely
to participate in photo critiques often, which we did every few weeks in
college. A part of me really misses those 3 hour critiques, because I
think I learned the most from being a part of such long discussions of
photography.
