I've always been a visual creature, I think and feel with my eyes. To fill the void during my filmmaking reprieve, I picked up my little 4 megapixel point and shoot camera and started carrying it everywhere with me. My photos were initially just observational - captures of things I noticed during my time out in the city. But more and more I wanted to think of and use my camera as a storytelling tool.

Relaying narratives, sharing moments and constructing or capturing atmosphere and mood were what I loved most about making movies. My photography became increasingly pre-planned (almost all of my images now are thought out to some degree beforehand).
