As the first paid contract came in it was obvious that the home studio just wouldn’t do. I thought it would be an easy move into a real studio but little did I realize at this stage what would be required thereafter. Sure enough the expenses of a web site followed, accounting fees, accounting programs, monthly studio rent, more expensive equipment and a whole slew of studio repairs and expenses. Photoshop skills had to be improved, make-up artists and stylists had to be discovered and as the shoots got a bit more complicated people management skills were required to keep things running smoothly.
