I started out just doing hair, makeup and fashion styling for photographers and models in my area. I know people are thinking "how did she go from styling to photography?"

Well it started 2 years ago, from working on the sets of many photo shoots. I would many times get the images back and sadly I would be unhappy with them. I felt like some of the photographers did not really care about what he or she was shooting. They were just shooting.

 

So that sparked me to start paying more attention to lighting, using negative space and angles, as I feel those things can make or break a shot. Already knowing a little bit about lighting because I was a makeup artist, it just seemed to flow when I started shooting.

 

Wayne on the other hand started shooting about 3 years ago. He attended a top school in our area and received his bachelor's degree in graphic design.

Our shooting styles are very different because he went to school and I did not. But I also think because of that, our work will always stand out. Because you're getting the best of both worlds.
