My name is Nathan Appel, I am a photographer, born and raised in California.

I was always into movies, more so than the average kid. I wasn't athletic or social for that matter, and preferred a good movie as a method for my escape. After high school, I went and studied film, eventually taking a photo class. I went to San Francisco State and the San Francisco Art Institute, my biggest influences in school weren't the teachers, but the other students.
