I am a typical urbanite living in a large city and have never truly explored the green that intermingles with the manufactured landscape in which I live.

Today I decided to put on my red rubber boots and spend a moment to experience what little overt nature co-exists with me right here in the city, below and beside the bridge I cross daily.

I wander into the marshy area among the cattails and rushes.  Many red-winged blackbirds are squawking in the distance.  My senses feel alive.
