I learned my craft in Florence doing test shots for the model agencies. It gave me money, a fledgling book and the beginnings of a style. It also made me hungry for success. After that I set off for Asia. Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Thailand, Indonesia… Fashion photography then in South East Asia was in an experimental stage. The editors would send me out in a van with a model and crew and I could shoot what ever I wanted. It was perfect for developing a style. Most of my work is 35mm Leica R, but I’ve recently fallen in love with the Fuji 6x8. I am also looking at digital. (Who isn’t?)
