I thought it would be an interesting story to uncover what one would wear under such a proper old gown. I didn't want to use lacy or overtly sexy underwear, I wanted to maintain the reserve of the period while using modern-day underclothes, so I used a selection of preteen and exercise underwear that were devoid of excess or flirtiness.
