I started posting on various internet critique sites and was fortunate that a couple of really great photographers took me under their wing and guided me through different techniques and concepts. I think that probably 80% of what I've learned has been through websites.  I decided to take the NYIP course - and I have to say that what I was being told by the other photographers was right on the mark and usually better than anything I read.
