I've always taken pictures of people and fashion. when I was little my sister and I had a huge trunk of costumes and fancy clothes and the neighborhood kids would come over to play dress up. We put on shows, had themes, plots and made up stories. I would pose everyone and set up the tableau and photograph it, unless of course I was the star, then my father would step in. Just like my image of the family dog my parents still have many prints of these escapades in albums and most of them are pretty damn embarrassing.

I also shoot landscapes. They are inspired by my childhood in the suburb of San Jose, California. I find suburbs to be fascinating, eerie, beautiful and false. They reflect what to me is humanity's aggressive discomfort with being inhabitants on the planet.
