Is it true that whenever a photographer photographs me, the result is a self-portrait regardless of the direction or intent? Using his camera, wearing his hat, in his studio, that's still me. I have to remind myself of that.  I'm eccentric, but not necessarily special; clever but not really rational. I'd like to think of myself as unconventional but the reality is I am a typical university student: emotionally starved, insecure, and full of vices.
