Quite remarkable are Dinu’s picture stories from the theatre world, most of them black and white, re-creating the photography of a play by image combinations strikingly suggestive of the director’s conception and of the actors’ work, followed from the dressing room to the footlights. Theatre scenes photographed in the light of candles and the images from philosopher Noica’s study taken under a 1-lux bulb testify to the artist’s technical mastery and to his ability to work under low-voltage light. Dinu has now devoted himself to fashion and landscape photography.
